For the second straight year, Chesapeake & Atlantic Synthetic
Turf Solutions (CASTS), the Golf Greens "Fore" U (GGFU) licensee in the
Maryland-Delaware area, has supported the fundraising and charitable
efforts of the First Tee of Harford County, the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf
Programs, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities at the McDonald's
LPGA Championship.
The green was first installed in 2007 at the Bulle Rock Golf Course
in Havre de Grace, Maryland, by Jake McCuen's installation team. It was
refreshed this year to present a slightly different image for those
returning spectators. Jake says that over the last two years several of
the Pros have commented on how true and smooth the putts run on our
synthetic putting surface.
The management staff at Bulle Rock and the McDonald's LPGA have
allowed this green to remain in place at the entrance to the Bulle Rock
Golf Course. This Pete Dye-designed layout has twice being awarded a
5-star ranking by Golf Digest's Best Places to Play and is considered
one of the Top 100 Public Courses in the Nation, at one time being
ranked 12th. The Bulle Rock Grounds Crew takes pride in maintaining the
landscape surrounding the synthetic green along with this magnificent
golf facility.
The green will remain at Bulle Rock through the 2009 McDonald's LPGA
Championship, the final year of the event. If you would like additional
information about this green, the First Tee Program or the McDonald's
LPGA Championship please contact:
